The name of our club is Dansk Veteranknallert Klub ('Danish Veteran Moped Club'). The
club was established May 28th 1973 by enthusiasts in the moped and bicycle
trade. - Though we are a diverse bunch of people, we are
united by a common interest: vintage mopeds - We have weekly club-night meetings where we repair
members’ mopeds as well as mopeds belonging to the club. There’s always
plenty of moped talk going on, but also casual conversations about all sorts
of subjects. - The first club night of each month is members only.
Here we deal with club-related issues and have dinner together. On ordinary
club nights, though, we often have visitors who drop by for a chat. - For instance, veteran moped owners come to us for
technical advice or to enquire about spare parts, and usually we can help. - We also have our own veteran rallies and participate
in other clubs’ rallies. As a little extra spice, we also go on ad hoc trips
on club evenings in the summer. - Then there’s the big moped events, namely the spare
parts jumbles around the country. We go to these together to hunt for “gold”,
i.e. especially rare or interesting parts. - You can apply for club membership any time. We do
not accept new members until we have got to know them, however, as we want to
make sure that the membership is to the benefit of both parties first. - Our regular club night is on Tuesdays from 7 p.m.
till we close, which is sometimes very late. - If you want to know more about us, you are welcome
to pay us a visit on a club night, but please contact us in advance to
